National Geographic: Test Your Brain: Pay Attention

There are so many thing that go on in the world and everyday life we miss. Also our brains work in unique ways that we are just beginning to understand. National Geographic did some research and put together a program called "Test Your Brain: Pay Attention" some years ago. This documentary goes on to explain how we perceive things and how our minds can be tricked. It also explains mechanisms in which we can be tricked and how attention works.

As many readers already know I always stress that you should be aware of your surroundings, if anything goes on try to focus and gain as much detail as possible. Now awareness and attention are two different things, and the documentary seems to be inclined on the fact that we are a species that relies heavily on sight.
That is why I say aware... recall sight... sound... tactile... taste..smell... even emotional response.
There are some things we can learn that could help us from this program.... and one thing is about "distractions" and mechanisms used to redirect our attentions. Perhaps with this knowledge it can help us recall and be aware of the misdirections thrown at us and warning of things we may not be consciously aware of.
