Movies: The Phoenix Incident

March 13, 1997 marks a mass sighting of UFOs spotted over Phoenix, Arizona. It catches national attention as hundreds of eyewitness call in, photograph, record, and news agencies pick up the incidents as well. The lights can even be seen for Mexico. At this time as well, the Heaven's Gate Cult commits mass suicide believing that extraterrestrials are coming. Too this day no one really knows what these objects were.

Personal Note: About two weeks before... I meet my "Ex" and his best friend. They took a college field trip to Mexico, which they both saw the lights. I myself recall seeing the incidient on the news.( I was 21 and my counterpart is only 8 at the time.)


The following film, "The Phoenix Incident", a fictitious story released June 2015 based upon the incident mentioned above. It centers around four friends who were out in the desert; Ryan, Mitch, Ken, and Jacob.
These individuals are reported missing and presumed dead, officials have claimed that the four were killed by a bear and/or by a Walton, a religious recluse. Walton was taken into federal custody, but never went to trail or was convicted. Local authorities from Maricopa county and Avondale were told to halt the investigation by the USAF. The film exposes their story as seen through Ryan POV camera.

Officially, there were incident in Russia and Syria were a number of UFOs were sighted. There was land engagement with ground forces. These events were covered up by all governments involved. The event surrounding the "Phoenix Incident" began as Comet Hale-Bopp approaches Earth. The government is aware of an object trailing the comet, which soon veers off and head toward Earth. A UFO is caught entering Earth's atmosphere and it proceeds to take out a few satellites. Odd Atmospheric condition are occurring around Arizona, the military is aware of an incursion force and has already engaged. The civilian populace believe this to be some sort of training exercises. Operation: Snowbird is started by the USAF as a distraction tactic, while the actual crafts are engaged just outside of the city. The lights sighted above Phoenix are flares, and the true UFOs are black triangular ships.

A few fighters manage to shoot one down, and Ryan and his friends assume that a pilot is injured during friendly fire. Upon discover of the craft they soon find out that it is a UFO and are engaged by hostile alien forces. They find shelter in Walton's compound. Walton is a member of the Heaven's Gate Cult, but there is something really off about him as he knows about these beings. At the compound the military is watching and attempting to rescue and combat the alien force. Two of Ryan's friends are killed at the compound fighting of the aliens. One friend is taken, and Ryan is presumed killed. The only eye witness and survivor is Walton.

The aliens involved are some type of reptilian like insect creature with six limbs, they move about like centaurs are run on all six. Although they are obvious the pilots of the ships, these being were no clothing and are highly savage. They make animal noises.

The background information is really intriguing and this is almost a believable story, however the idea of the savage alien is being over used. Aliens are not monsters..... it make little sense  for a highly intelligent social creature to go into animal savagery. This is something that seems to be ongoing..... we are going away from the concept as aliens as another species for contact to the SCARY MONSTER.....
