Sometimes I do wonder why religious zealots thinks that there way is the only right way. I have run into a number of religious zealots at both MUFON and CERO. This includes people who practice shamanism, new age stuff, and the christian mythos. Many of them are hellbent literally with the idea of an apocalypse and the end times. They love citing passages and excerpts that point to the end times, many of them sadly wrong or misinterpreted....
1. Mayan Calendar
Every since the year 2000 a lot of individuals have used the Mayan Calendar as a source point to the end times. For some reason this artifact is given a lot of weight, despite the majority of believers are "so called christians". First off let us get something straight, our understanding of the Calendar comes from Aztec understanding, as they copied it from the Mayan. Much of the culture is being recovered, and the language and writing system is being unraveled to this day. What we do know is that the Calendar follows a pattern, with 13 Cosmic Tones, and a combination of some 20 symbols. The Mayan year has 260 days, and is believed to be cyclical like the Chinese lunar calendar. It is deeply tied to the indigenous traditions and beliefs of the people, and we do not have a real understanding of it. We know what certain things mean, but we do not know the full use of the calendar.
2. The Second Coming of Christ
Christians are by far the worst, regardless of the fact they live in a world full of different ideologies each type still believes they are the right ones. Protestants attack Catholics, both attack non-christians, and protestants attack each other and everyone else. Many are so wrapped up for the coming apocalypse or alien invasion. They look forward to being judge and getting there reward or welcoming the alien overlords to get a good seat. They will back stab and put themselves upon high, they will judge and criticize and spread the falsehood of there beliefs as truths. They spread misinformation, there is this one woman for example who talked about muslim cursing U.S. soldiers with the Djinn. She has no idea what they are other than evil Muslim spirits. The ignorant sow can't even pick up her own bible and read the passage where King Solomon had command over them, and the sow is to full of herself to read the Qoran, and realize that the djinn are some of the fallen angels (angelic spirits of air, earth, fire, and water who were cast out...not DEMONS).
3. New Agers
Enough with the Aliens are gods! Yes, in the past human may have mistaken aliens as deities....however you overlook the obvious in most of these stories. Humanity through off their shackles.....and I am specifically talking about the Anunnaki. You have to read both side, the mythology and the new stuff......and realize there are two groups. The first are the gods of Mesopotamia who are the children of Anu and the second are the "aliens" who share the same name. The aliens are the one from the planet Nibura aka Planet X, that claim will arrive and destroy the world. If you read things before, you no both sets of beings are not benevolent.
Also stop saying the "Light", as this is a naive thing to constantly preach. The light is not necessarily a good thing, Don't assume because it shows up glowing white that is has good intentions.
Ugh I can go on for more.....but it upsets me that when we try to have an analytical and scientific talk these people begin flapping their gums. I believe in being tolerant and listening, but when you have individual who start to spout "god', "homosexuals are evil", "the light will save you", and all the nonsense in which they won't
question...it become counter productive.
