Apparently there are several Christian Gnostic texts that speak of "Aliens". The two types often described are the Reptilians and Greys. However, even though most people regard Christian Gnosticism as a heretical branch of Christianity, Gnosticism itself is a far older belief system predating Christianity. Gnosticism is a philosophy unto itself that tries to rationalize the existence of creation through logic and explainable means.
Like many early philosophies, the supernatural aspects of the world were taken quite literally and were rationalized. In Gnostic traditions it is believed that there were beings that were not of this material world, they are Archons. They were primarily creatures of abstract concepts and ideas. They influenced the material world in its creation and formation, but not of it. It is believed that they beings in classical Greek terms are called Daemons, meaning a creature whose spirit was never a living being. These Archons however, desired to interact with there creations it is believed and continue on tinkering with them.
