Signaling for 1st Contact

For those who are not yet convinced that we have already had contact with various alien entities, many scientists would like to establish contact. For the past couple of decades we have had high powered satellite combing space for potential signals for intelligent alien life. This project is known as SETI. However, many see this as finding a needle in a haystack. Only a few signals have been found, and those are under suspicion by skeptics. For one thing we are just focusing on one means of communication... if anyone has watched STAR TREK: The Motion Picture, one major dilemma is the difference in technology when communicating.
Our methods of transmission may be to archaic for someone to notice.

Recently there has been an initiative known as Active SETI,which broadcasts various messages with the purpose of reaching anyone.... and anything. If we do make contact, SETI has an additional site known as Earth Speaks, which opens up for discussion as what is to be said. Basically each individual is a representative of earth, we can't speak for the whole planet.... but one individual or a group can begin the cultural exchange and friendship.

If anyone remebers the movie "Explorers" from 1985, we have already been broadcasting.... aliens have already had the chance to pick up our TV/Radio waves, not to mention all the transmission to private and governmental satellites in orbit, our planet has been abuzz in the past few decades with all the signals. Many individuals caution the idea of contact however. As a world, we are not united, and we are vastly unprepared for the ramifications of known contact. We do not have the technological means to defend ourselves if a potential threat should arrive (Space Conquerors.... just look at earth history concerning the New World, the Age of Exploration/Colonization, and the Africa Problem) or if there is an unforeseen biological incompatibility. Many high profile scientists wish to caution and dissuade those who wish to make contact.

However individuals are overlooking the fringe element. Contact has already been established, not only by certain government, but by many individuals who have been abducted. Any scientists should find reliable and consistent individuals, there are many contactees and abductees who have multiple and repeatable instances (many times additional family members as well). If at least one of the many thousands of claims can be verified, then contact can be open up to the general public.
