Movies: SIGNS

"Signs" was a movie released in 2002 that is about crop circles. We see that this phenomena is target a former pastor and his family. Rev. Graham Hess lives on a farm with his children, Morgan and Bo, and his brother Merrill, a former baseball player. A year before Graham lost his wife in a car accident and causes him to loose faith in God. Since then his brother moved in to help him with the kids.

The past few nights have been odd, the family dog attempted to attack Bo for no reason. There is also something creepy around the farm. Although Graham and Merrill try to find out who it is, this mysterious being evades them. Eventually they find out that there is a crop circle in their field. A few days later mysterious crop circle begin to appear all over the world. Then soon video evidence of a grey is shown on TV, at a party an alien is scene walking in broad daylight during a children party. There is also evidence that ships are above major areas marked with crop circle as addition footage come in of a bird slamming into an invisible object. People begin to panic and are heading to the coast.

Graham and his family soon realize that they are at ground zero of an alien invasion and attempt to fortify the house. Eventually the aliens break in an try to abduct Morgan. Fortunately one of Bo's small quirks of leaving glasses of water around the house pays off. It is found out that the Aliens are weakened by water and Merrill manage to shatter the glass with water... scaring the creatures off. Eventually the aliens leave taking their spoils with them as soon as people realize that water drives them away. Graham's faith is restored in God, as he remember the last thing his wife ever said "Merrill, swing away", foretelling how to save their son..

The aliens in this movie appear as very strong greys with chameleon like abilities. They are physically strong and very athletic. Additionally they possess some sort of gas that can paralyze and poison humans. One of the huge plot wholes is that they are allergic to water..... which one does wonder how they were able to run around a cornfield on a cold night??? Farmers can tell you the humidity level is high and with all the watering it is rather wet.... so why went they screaming when they were making these crop circles......
