Well if you read the books "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator", you know that this story is a bit more than a simple kid in a Candy Store book! Especially when the sequeal deals directly with space and time travel. Yet a recent adaption of the book that came out in 2005 by Warner Bros. has some odd elements of Alien Abduction and UFOs in it.
2. In the Room with the candy garden, the apparatus he uses to siphon chocolate is a UFO shaped contraption. In the scene is which it is used, it sucks up one child from the chocolate river. The kid can be seen be carried off. Ironically, the room in which the pip leads to make strawberry flavor fudged. Supposedly from reports... Strawberry is a favorite flavor of Aliens.
3. Shortly there after the they enter the chocolate waterfall on a boat ride. As they pass through they see several room which make various cream. One room is shown with a cow being whipped to make whip cream. Yet one could see this is also a lite poke at "Cow Mutational"
4. Now the Umpa Lumpas are also in question.... since they are diminutive assistants that seemingly follow Wonka. They all look alike in this version... so with the logic here... a small servile race of beings of a uniform colors.
5. Toward the end of the movie... when Charlie is working as a Shoe Shine Boy, Wonka sits and tries to convince Charlie to comeback to him. In the scene... we see Wonka... and on the window of the storefront behind him it says "Greys" (yes it could be a nod to one of the film guy).
6. The flashback scenes with his father....his father is a dentist... very clinical. When Wonka runs away his father apartment building just fly offs and dissappears... and some decades later is located in some roomate mountaintop.
So is it me or where there references to UFO and Aliens in this movie?
