This series coming to Netflix in 2016 surround the disappearance of a young boy named Wil, a students of Hawkins Middle School, who disappears in the woods near his home. The local officials of the town of Hawkins and neighbors do what they can to find in. Likewise, a young mysterious girl appears who has a connection to Wil. This girl exhibits unusual abilities, ones that deal with electron-magnetism and the ability to broadcast electricity. The girl is part of an ongoing experiment we find out from some agency, and Wil is caught in it. From what I gather it take place circa 1975-1980, the only piece is a dated miniature depicting "Demogogron" from Dungeon & Dragons role-playing game. So basically we have an adaption of "E.T." with a bit of MKUltra and the Montauk Project mixed in.
