Movies: Lost Time

The film "Lost Time" was released in 2014.  It is a confusing movie as it meshes some related phenomena
of the UFO/Alien Abductions Experience. First it presents itself as a movie about alien abduction, then it goes into the probability that aliens are actual spiritual forces (goo/evil), and finally goes into quantum mechanics, 4th dimensional mechanic, and the law probability and possibility.

The movie takes place in Los Angeles, California, around what I assume is Downtown Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley. The story centers around two sisters,  mainly Valerie, who has cancer. Her sister, Melissa, has been taken care of her for years and the cancer is getting worse. On a drive home a familiar light appears and abducts both of them. By their behavior, this is not the first time that this has happened. However this time, Valerie is knocked unconscious and looses her memory of 12 hours. Her sister is vanished.

Over the coming months, her health has returned and her cancer is gone. During this time no trace of her sister has been found. She herself goes by foot hoping to find her sister. She canvases the streets of Los Angeles looking for some clue of her sister's whereabouts. It is during her canvasing trips that she happens to get involved with an -ex, who is a member of the L.A.P.D. He has watched her an tries to help out as best as she can. However she is a mess, not only from the ordeal of her missing sister and miraculous recovery, but some psychological scars from the missing 12 hours. Eventually she contacts an alien abduction expert at a box store, Dr. Xavier Reed who promises answers if she is willing to participate in some sort of therapy. Eventually desperate for answers she contacts him and agrees.

The facility that Dr. Reed has is supposedly out side of Los Angeles, but the shot would suggest either General Hospital or possibly one of the many abandoned facilities around Los Angeles that is some how connected to the church. She is convinced to join group therapy, but soon learns that this was all a ruse.
The doctor and staff are actually aliens who are trying to harvest some aspect of the human spirit. They go on to mention that they are the fallen. Meanwhile a "light guide" who reinforces that these are the fallen, attempts to help Valerie out... and explains the multiverse and time theory... and urges her not to be afraid. In the end
her and her boyfriend manage to escape Dr. Reed's facility. However, despite getting away....Dr. Reed again finds her and continues to offer her the truth... and the finding of her sister Melissa.

My Opinion

It is very convincing, but falls apart when it starts to involve the more spiritual aspects. There are many theories which hold that aliens are archons. Beings created by a higher power to watch over humanity. However, some became corrupt and seek to see why the high power chose humans over them.

It is know that some individuals have been miraculous cured during an abduction. Missing time is also a common theme, considering that most suffer such trauma that there brains blocks out that period of time. Those aspects were well illustrated.

The frighting thing is the possibility that aliens or the government could pose as experts in the field. Already taking further advantage of those trying to seek answers. Many individuals may be vulnerable and drawn in further. It is always wise to take precautions, just in case. Be aware of your surrounding and  check out the people you talk too. Everyone gives off some subtle clues as to their intentions. Look a dog...make it obvious that you are sniffing them out.
